The effort may not be the problem

Why Trying Harder May Be the Wrong First Step When Sleep and Weight Both Change

For years, women were told to eat less and work out more. But after 40, sleep, hunger and energy may change, and the same plan may stop giving the same result.

Falling asleep is easy. Getting back to sleep at 2 or 3 A.M. is not.

Clothes begin to feel tighter around the waist.

By afternoon, energy is gone, but work still needs focus.

Exercise feels harder, and stiffness or soreness lasts longer.

The old food and exercise plan no longer gives the same result.

The changes may be connected.

The class will show why sleep, hunger, energy and exercise are worth looking at together. The goal is clarity, not another punishment plan.

Inside the free class

What to Check Before Eating Less or Exercising More

Karen will explain what to notice first, which small changes may be worth trying at home and when a doctor should be part of the next step.

01

Why eating less may not be the best first step

Understand why a plan that worked before 40 may stop giving the same result now.

02

How a broken night can affect the next day

Learn what to notice in hunger, energy and exercise after a broken night.

03

What to check before changing your diet again

Know which changes in sleep, hunger, energy and exercise are worth tracking first.

04

What to try at home and what belongs with a doctor

Find out which daily habits may be worth trying and which changes need a doctor's advice.

By the end, you will know what to track, what to try one step at a time and which questions to take to a doctor, without changing everything at once.

After a broken night

Why a 3 A.M. Wake-Up May Make the Next Day Harder

A broken night does not end when morning begins. The next day may feel foggy and slow. Hunger may feel stronger. Exercise may feel harder.

A 3 A.M. wake-up does not diagnose menopause. But when it appears with lower energy, hunger changes or soreness that lasts longer, it may be worth looking at the pattern together.
